Any of u lot own one of these. Does the waxed cotton get nasty like an old Barbour? Easy to adjust? Would love a review

Like smelly? Mine has not. It has quite a dry feel. Adjustment is easy. Mine is a bit shallow for my massive dome.
Is it something that you would need to rewax or am I really mischaracterizing it?
I got mine second hand, but I don’t find it to be super “waxy”
It is waxed but like…I doubt I would ever go through the trouble of rewaxing

as a fellow dude with a big dome, do you know if yours is the shallow or the deeper version they do?
The listing said deep but it was from Japan so I’m not sure if something may have been lost in translation. I’ll try to remember to check the tags when I have a minute
ah that would be wicked, cheers. r1 is the shallow one, r3 is the deep one if that makes it easier
