Installer does not fit screen
I have an Aya Neo Next. It has Windows installed on it. I want to wipe it completely and replace with Bazzite. When I boot the installer, the GUI does not fit. I tried using Ventoy but it remains the same. I could proceed with the installer with just the touch screen and enter keys except I get stuck in this screen because there's no other keys to press. I cannot scroll at all and pressing enter only expands the tree.

The fix we added was only for the OLED
Wish there was a one-click option to replace everything instead of having to go through this disk reclaiming thing.
Also the guides mention "Enable Basic Graphics Mode" but there was no such option at all.
It is only there while booting
800p screens have issues with the installer
We fixed it manually for the steam deck
Follow the steps we had previously for the steam deck, we can modify the iso to work on your device as well
Follow what steps?
With the basic installer
What basic installer? Are there multiple ones? Is the one on the website not the basic installer?
Solution
theres an option during boot for basic graphics mode
Great that got the installer running
Maybe add a small section in the docs that explains where to find basic graphics mode
Because it wasn't immediately available in the boot menu
i think it might have been removed when the installer was fixed for the steam deck
small reminder that your device is 1 of 300 devices that are not steam deck and have an 800 p
@Kyle Gospo can add your device to the installer quirks if you give us its product name
How do I get the exact product name?
Its installed and booting but in portrait
The model name just says AYANEO NEXT
Your handheld is totally new to us, so it's gonna need tweaking all over
What's the resolution on your screen, and the valid refresh rates?
And which way is it rotated?
1280x800 60Hz
When it was booting up it was in portrait mode
Then it restarted and went to the correct orientation
But it was in automatic so when I moved it went upside down
fwiw portrait (flipped) is the correct orientation
It's confusing but when I say it's in portrait mode, the OS thinks it's in landscape.
But when I say it's the correct orientation, it means from my POV
Also the basic graphics mode installer was in portrait mode as well
It's the one ayaneo tried to ship with holoiso
Hhd supports this I think you can look up the dmi
