no
use a panel honestly, although the most popular one ptero doesnt work with LXC due to docker not being supported on it iirc?
Yeah no containers over an LXC without some fuckery
Which distro if I wanted to use a panel
ubuntu/debian

I've had pretty decent luck with Crafty so far. Honestly since I installed it a few months ago they've patched my biggest annoyances, but its still a bit rough around the edges
Crafty Controller
Crafty Controller is a cross platform minecraft server controller that you control in your web browser.
Can vouch for crafty.
If you don’t have Linux experience crafty is the best way to go
Even as someone who has Linux experience, I prefer its experience for maintaining a running server over my shell script setup I had before with
screen
But I do like my own scripts for initial setup. Lots of headscratching on the inital server setup in Crafty, but again, that's gotten better with very recent updatesi think he meant if you have linux experience go ptero, as its the industry standard and is designed with docker as a focus not just a option
usually whatever panel u pick will recommend wat distro to use
if you go with ptero they recommend ubuntu

Getting Started | Pterodactyl
Pterodactyl is an open-source game server management panel built with PHP, React, and Go. Designed with security in mind, Pterodactyl runs all game servers in isolated Docker containers while exposing a beautiful and intuitive UI to end users.
Alternatively can use something like pelican (in beta, made by ex-ptero devs) or moonlight. Just check out their docs on what they recommend, (9 times out of 10 it'll be ubuntu)
