Solution
Solution: disable csm, reset to default and enable secure boot
oki bet tyy
do you know what to do when you enable csm it keeps you stuck in bios?
why do u wanna enable csm
sorry meant disable
is your disk partion mbr or gpt
not sure
and is your boot mode legacty or uefi
legacy
and my secure boot says unsupported
search and open this
right click this click propreties
says mbr i think
go to volumes
yeah u need to switch to gpt
and enable uefi
to enable secure boot
😭
do i have to reinstall windows ?
p;ress win+r
type msinfo32
screenshoit
the entire thin
does your motherboard support uefi
i think so, i have ASUS
also no you dont need to reinstall windows
to switch to gpt
bought this recently
like 8-9 months ago
im just saying becasue if it doesnt and you switch to gpt your pc will break
how can i check
ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING
go to your bios > boot settings > is there a grayed out option toswitch from legacy to uefi
yeah it proabbly does
but i have to say this in case
not sure which one it was so I took a couple of screenshots
alr
open cmd as admin,
write "diskpart"
"list disk"
alr
write "mbr2gpt /convert /disk: 0 /allowfullOS "
FYI after doing this your pc will no longer boot on legacy boot
is legacy boot bad?
close cmd
sorry i meant if no longer boot on legacy is that bad*
and reopen
no need for it but im saying it can brick ur pc if it doesn't support anything else
show me what u wrote don't enter
remove caps from os
also is that cmd in admin
think so, but ill redo it in admin just in case
yeh it should work in admin
try removing the gap between disk and 0
mbr2gpt /convert /disk:0 /allowfullOS
yes
yep it's done
now restart and open bios
ok
did my pc brick ?
open bios
don't turn on
you need to switch to uefi
Ok I’m in bios
go to boot
Ok
switch from legacy to uefi
This good?
yep
Also this changed
disable csm too to test
Ok
which do you have windows on
restarting
No clue
if it still doesn't boot try switching to the other one
The interface loooks way different
to the ssd
More modern
It works
alr go back to bios
ok back to bios?
uhuh to enable secure boot
that's what you wanna do right
I disabled csm
Yes
yeah go back
I think I had it enabled already
It’s just I was in legacy so it was unsupported
oh alr
it shuld work now
Ok . TYSM !
I was working with this problem for past 4 hours
Why is this like 230 messages long
don't ask I'm stupid asf
the first person's secure boot refused to enable
can't believe I had to resort to REDDIT blrhhh
U rly didn't validate first eh
who cares
it doesn't
convert
anyway
if it's not possible
so validate is unneccessary
Evrything is possible
Anyways
Solution:- enable secure boot and tpm from the bios
nuh uh
Uh huh?
solution is to always break your pc
and buy a new one
