Changing Terms Of Employment Contract Pre-Hire
Apparently, it is possible.
One user's report:
A while back I asked here if you could request the "do not work for another job" section to be removed from any facebook/meta employment offer contract. The answer is yes, it's possible (for E5 anyways). You'll have to really push for it, and state no level of additional compensation will change your mind about it. I'm pretty sure I got offered like 15% less than what I could've got because of this, but I have a +90% from J1 to make up for it. So yeah, if anyone is thinking about Meta, you can reduce your risk of legal problems if you really wanted to.

why would you basically declare your intent is to get another j

Some people want to be safe legally , which is a good thing
If they got caught
Real example was by the guy who got caught by his j2 (who then told on his j3 and j1). He still kept j1 cause he had written permission
At least for OP's case, he has documented in his contract to basically OE, to protect him from liability
Obviously not something you can be successful on every time
But this post serves to supply one data point of someone doing it

written permisison doesn't mean they can't contact your other j "innocuously" to inquire about their employment status there

I've already said that this isn't something someone can be successful with all the time
So while I understand the point you're trying to make, it can help someone who absolutely needs to follow things "by the book", as a guy has done it to some degree of success.

"by the book" and oe are inherently incompatible and he's just increasing his visibility to the company without proving anything really because he hasn't shown that he can do it for extended periods of time
just changing the contract doesn't demonstrate anything meaningful

That's your opinion. And similar to mine too. We're both making statements here
Ive seen first hand this actually worked well to the guy who got caught by smart sheet and kept his j1 cause he baked into his contract to basically OE after smartsheet tried to contact his j1 to confirm dates
But that's just a one time account
Obviously this ain't something to celebrate or promote heavily
Just an option for people wanting to OE their way
