Advice on Current Wardrobe
I went through all of the clothing I own excluding socks and underwear and categorized it using the notes app on my iphone. Using this link, please grade me on what I need to do better on ie do I have too much athleisure).
I can also provide a gdrive link to all of the individual pieces up close.
I live in Denver Colorado and get all 4 seasons, but also visit family from time to time in Dallas Texas. I used to be an accountant at a 9-5 job but now do project management for a roofing company.

hey man looks great, it’s hard to give advice without knowing what kind of style you’re trying to dress like. grading is super subjective and dressing up is meant to be a representation of yourself. if someone says you have a C+ in dressing up theyre probably trying to sell you a course. if you’re looking for more variety i’d cop some light chinos
ups to that first part
it think it really depends on what you want
my first thought is that those are definitely some clothes
but like do you want to dress like a normal dude? then you're doing it pretty well
Id like to get some camp collar t shirts
More hats
Better basic t shirts
Puffer jacket
In general, the advice that is given here always is to go slow and pick pieces that you really like
more useful to you would be to go through #waywt and #inspiration and find outfits you really like
figure out how you want to dress and then cop pieces accordingly
like if you want a good puffer go to patagonia
if you want basic tees theres a thousand good ones
but i think you should be thinking a layer deeper about your style more broadly
White leather sneaks
Leather jacket
More flannels
my question to you is what are your goals in dressing yourself?
Get a great all around wardrobe that suits multiple occasions
fucking hell that's a lot of clothes
whether you have 'too much' of anything is not objective but it can be determined in part by how often you find yourself reaching for something (whether it be in a given category or overall)
i don't personally see the utility in 4 pairs of running shoes + that much athleisure + i dislike these sneakers (or dress sneakers or whatever they are)
athleisure that looks good and fits you can be versatile and wearable in mutliple occasions, but it is unlikely to get you any compliments or attention. that said, if looking good is a priority, i'd pare down the list to include fewer items you reach for infrequently / when you haven't done laundry
Quarter zips in general (your 3 office pullovers) are not on-trend, doesn't inherently mean they're bad just that they aren't going to be in favor here especially
Given that these are all layflats, we have no idea how any of these pieces fit on you (if at all) and what you're trying to go for in general - the range of things like "basic t shirt," "leather jacket," "puffer", "camp collar" runs from target to rick owens
love the phrase "from target to rick owens"
a rags to riches story
not undermining target!
plenty of good shit sold at target!
just hate to recommend a lady white co t when someone wants a 3 pack of hanes and vice versa
It would also be easier for you to articulate your vision for your wardrobe + identify gaps I think if you had fewer clothes in play. Gather some inspiration (instagram, pinterest, tiktok, #inspiration , #waywt, lookbooks, runways, red carpets, styling on websites, music videos/movies/shows, etc) and think about what specific pieces you might want + your budget + whether you're willing to buy used.
Given you're in Denver and do PM for a roofing company I am assuming you are not interested in Rick Owens, but maybe upmarket americana or japanese americana could be in play.
it may help to have an idea of what you want to look like first rather than individual items that may not actually go together in the way you anticipate
sure you could get a list of things "every man should own" but that may not suit your life or your personality, and honestly that sucks
if you're not sure of the words to describe your style, it may be worth getting reference images of people with clothes or outfits you think are cool
#waywt is cool in that regard as it's real people largely doing real stuff, but as kyn and shrimp said there's a number of places (including real life) that you can find these
I ran track and cross country in college and have just collected them over the years
Yeah I have 4 pairs of running shoes because I run a lot, it's not uncommon
