Right speaker not working on Bazzite boot (Ally X - Dual Boot)
Have noticed that the right speakers of my Ally don't have any sound after booting into Bazzite.
Can confirm it's not a hardware issue as the ROG startup sound works. It also works when switching back to Windows.
Fix I found was loading into Windows and then restarting back into the Bazzite partition. This allows the right speaker to work again. This also happened yesterday as well.
Guessing this might be related to the crackling sound issues that are being investigated? (Where Ally speakers have the crackling each time it loads Bazzite or changes between desktop/gaming modes)

Tried to restart the device after noticing the speaker issue but that didn't fix it unfortunately.
Neither did switching to desktop mode.
Booting Windows then back to Bazzite seems to be the only fix for me so far
we will keep a note of this. Speaker crackle should be fixed now
if you still have it let us know
are you on the latest version?
No worries, hopefully it'll be resolved π
I still get the boot crackling on mine + on the latest version from what I can tell (System > Software updates)
ok thank you
Was updated last night if that means anything
@Kyle Gospo so i guess we are not signing off yet
Just did a software update again but unfortunately still getting speaker crackling and no sound on the right speaker unless I start windows first
I'll maybe wait until 3.7 to see if that might fix it π
It's basically consistent if Bazzite is the first thing booted after a shutdown, maybe Windows loads something the speakers need first which is why the workaround i'm using fixes it
I'm getting a dev unit later this month and I will diagnose it more
There isn't a planned fix for it right now
Much obliged π
I might just be an unfortunate edge case since I haven't seen other people raise this...hopefully it'll be an easy fix though
I might actually try troubleshooting this by doing a Bazzite reinstall to see if that helps
Just wondering if following the steps to remove the partitions on https://youtu.be/RUES5B5j6EU?si=hS_urQFjCoSVh3AY&t=1720 would be the correct steps for removing Bazzite? Which would then allow me to go through the install process again
