Jean Sizes/Jean Buying
Hey yall, soon I want to buy some more jeans, and I got some good recommendations from people in here.
However, a place that was number 1 on my list to check out (left field NYC) does not have my size in their jeans. (I called their store and they said they biggest size they have is a 42).
I wanted to know two things.
1. Do Jean sizes have to exactly match your hip size and waist size? (I got my measurements done recently and my hips are 62 and my waist is 48 and a half).
2. Does anyone have any good brand recommendations that sell jeans (and other pants as well) in bigger sizes that are more indie (and preferably MiUSA but not needed) (also bonus if they have a store in NYC or near there)
Thank you in advance 🙂

its tough for anyone to use their body measurements compared to a size chart - if you take a pair of jeans you own and like and compare those measurements instead, it'll make your life a lot easier.
See I did that too though, and it's still like around a 48 bc you're supposed to double the number apparently
So I'm pretty sure my measurements are accurate to the clothing I have, that why I was asking for brands that have bigger sizes. I don't think I can measure my clothes in a way that makes me smaller lol, I'm just a fat person
^ hope this doesn't sound rude
it's more that measuring the garments will give you a more accurate idea of what you're looking for, because the measurements you see from brands are based on the clothes and not the bodies wearing them. Sometimes it makes a big difference, sometimes the difference is negligible.
Re: brand recs, Levi's def carries big & tall (I think they go up to 58" waist), and is def worth it imo. I'm p sure dickies will carry your size too, for other pants options.
Yesss thank you :catnod: I was planning to try and get some Levi 501s
I was checking out carhartt as well before but now I'm not super sure about em 🤔 I know carhartt WIP doesn't have stuff in my size cause I was checking their site but regular carhartt seems to come in bigger sizes
Yeah mainline carhartt is real hit or miss (moreso miss imo) where WIP is more fashion oriented.

They do MTO denim so they might be a solid option (tho idk what your price range is!)
I will check them out thank you o7
