fixing baseball hat crown structure
Hi there!
I've bought hat like these https://www.asos.com/it/polo-ralph-lauren/polo-ralph-lauren-berretto-blu-con-logo/prd/204409677
You can see, crown has no structure.
I would like to know if I can make this kind of hat to have a crown structure, like this https://www.asos.com/it/champion/champion-cappello-con-visiera-blu/prd/206542122#colourWayId-206542123 You can see it has structure on the crown.
Could I do it with the Polo too, somehow?
This is because my friends are telling me when I wear a "no strucutre" hat, I look horrible, while I'm pretty good with a "structured" one.

given the price of those caps, I think the kind of work necessary wouldn't be worth the costs
also, the cap was designed to be structureless, it wouldn't look as good as a cap that was designed to be structured from the beginning
how you feel you look in the hat is more important imo
most fixes i know are either temporary (crown insert, starch on a hat form) or expensive (sewing in structure) and can mess up the hat itself
Oh ok! I thought polo made this hat, but structured
for example
Non structured https://www.zalando.it/polo-ralph-lauren-classic-sport-cappellino-po252e00n-b11.html
structured?? https://www.zalando.it/polo-ralph-lauren-unisex-cappellino-whitenewport-navy-po254q00q-a11.html
This is a classic 6-panel cap known as a "dad hat"
If you'd like something more structured you could opt for a 5-panel hat or new era fitted hat
Trucker hats also have structure on the front panel and less structure in the mesh area
