Need help figuring out what to wear for a wedding
“weather is gonna be hot during the day (low 80s but not humid) and cool down at night. attire for the wedding is semi formal to casual, so like nice button ups and khakis or even shorts is fine. get fancy with it if you want tho.
Rehearsal dinner on Friday is pretty casual so no need to dress up but again definitely can if you want to.”

Need help figuring out what to wear for this wedding in a few weeks.
Was thinking maybe linen pants with long sleeve linen shirt to keep things comfortable but open to ideas I’m really bad at planning wedding outfits

Linen pants and shirt sounds excellent to me.
You could dress it up with a summer-weight blazer, or dress it down with a short-sleeve shirt.
Penny loafers seem like they would be acceptable for shoes. You could probably go sockless or wear no-show socks to help stay cool.
Yep was thinking the same for shoe choice. I’ve been looking for an excuse to pull the trigger on some loafers and this seems as good as any
Probably do no show socks since I tend to get blisters easy
If you buy new loafers, make sure you have some time to break them in.
How long would you say the break in period would be? Would it change if I bought second hand?
Depends on the shoes, but I would allow a couple of weeks to be extra-safe. Not sure about second hand.
Unstructured linen suit is always really nice if you're looking to buy something. A little oversized maybe. Elegant and dressed but not stuffy.
Linen pants and linen shirt together can sometimes give off pajama vibes if they don't drape right
Any chance you have an example so I would know what to avoid?
I’m not strictly opposed to the full linen suit, but I have a hard time seeing many situations I would wear it
purely my opinion but I think outfits like these end up looking like pajamas.
As for the linen suit, I pretty much only need to wear suits for weddings, b matzvah's and funerals. I've got a dark navy suit I use for the latter two but my linen suits are my favorite wedding suits
Ah okay I see what you mean
