no it would be like limit(f(x)+g(x))/h(x) where you solve the limit of only g(x) and leave the others. instead you can separate limits or use another method

its like lim(x approaching 0) lnx-e^x/x where you only put the value of e^x as x approaches to 0 and then try to solve lim (lnx-1/x ).

as long as indeterminate form isn't disturbed you can do anything (Conversion between indeterminate forms is allowed though)

By using you mean putting 1 in numerator? you won't get further after this step without l hopital or expansion btw, this step is just to find a, like a quick side step
