3rd period are exceptions
Holy Smokes! Thanks bro, You just made me realize that i literally forgot everything i learned in chemistry
ikr , vk jaiswal answers are wild
only c and d have the incorrect order rigt
Assuming this is first ionization energy, I think C is correct
Na will obviously be the least
Mg will be the most because that's full-filled.
I should think Al will be less than Si as well because IP increases along the period.
D is wrong because Cl has the most EA.
Si has higher ie than mg , the full filled orbital of mg essentially affects na and al only
I b correct ? Ig it is but need some confirmation
it is ye
more confused abt option C but u say its lesser than Si, ig thats off of data
i think C is right btw
can u elaborate on this
Do you want the reason or the trend
The reason is same as F and Cl case, electron facing more repulsion from F
ahh okok got it
You're right on that note. I just checked data and marginally so but yes, Si is more than Mg. So, you're correct.
if your focus is jee main, focus on ncert and exemplar. if your focus is jee advanced, read theory from jd lee.
this book and its questions do not seem relevant to either exams to me. have mentioned this elsewhere but since you folks are discussing this, socha yaha bhi bata doon :D
i opened jd lee and theory was genuinely very deep and a lot
what other problem book would u suggest for advanced
advanced ka aise hi hota hai dost :)
you dont need a 'problem solving book' for advanced, you need a good theory book (esp for ioc)
for oc and pc suggestions are there, do subjective questions properly
.chem
and being honest here, it is okay to not prep for advanced too btw if it seems like a lot.
that way you can spend all of your effort on jee main and do that inside out properly.
so you read it like a story book, jd lee. it has too much, know what to skip, what to read (always keep the syllabus thingy beside you)
you cant speed read it, for sure.
Yeah I saw so much stuff , index for chemical bonding alone was of two pages
shall we close this thread?
