@Wille open cmd prompt type sc query vgk
if it's not running, type
sc start vgk and then sc start vgc
and try to update again
if it is running, uninstall vanguard from your tray (right click, More..., uninstall vanguard) and delete the Riot Vanguard folder in C:\Program Files (if it's still there) and in cmd prompt, sc delete vgk and sc delete vgc
then restart pc and try to update again to reinstall vanguard
