can these jeans be altered in the waist, or is it a lost cause?
Hey,
I have these Unbranded relaxed tapered which are a size 33. For context, I usually go for a size 32, and these are definitely too big in the seat and waist.
When I sit with them, they bunch up on the top of the back and leave about a full inch between the jeans and my body. You'll see in one of the photos that I can stick two fingers into the back without much effort at all.
Thx

So a few questions;
1. Have you tried wearing these with a belt?
2. Have you washed them yet?
3. Can you return them for a 32?
1) yes, it helps but I do have to use the absolute last hole for it to be comfortable
2) no not yet, these are my first raws and have read mixed things about washing these initially
3) no lol, I'm stuck with these
Why is it uncomfortable with the belt? Fabric bunching up in the waist?
It seems like your options are either trying to resell these and recoup some of the money you spent, or a hot wash/dry and hope that they shrink enough that they fit more how you like
yep, they hold up fine with a belt but the waist remains an issue
I can definitely give them a wash if that might help, thanks
You can tailor jeans but i would advise against it until you have done a hot soak to see if they will shrink at all from that
What are the mixed things you’ve heard? A hot soak should be fine
Last thing to add though is that having the waistband tailored well isn't a low cost option
And i wouldnt tailor it more than an 1in or pockets will look weird
But i’ve had jeans tailored with good results so it is an option, albeit a last resort if you intend to keep them
Yeah. I don't mind paying, but I paid $70 for the jeans and the tailoring runs ~$55 around here... Appreciate the help
i think a lotta the weird look si just that they're new and crisp. soakign and just wearing 'em should help.
