Is Bazzite on ROG Ally supposed to show the grub menu on reboot? If so, can it safely be hidden?
Hi!
I just installed Bazzite on my ROG Ally and am loving it! I'm dual booting with Windows, and everytime I reboot it goes to the grub menu for a few seconds where I can select fedora (4 of the same entries) and Windows (see screenshot). If I don't select anything after a few seconds it boots into steamos gaming mode just fine.
My question is: is this normal on a fresh install? Or should it be hidden by default? If so, can i just run ujust configure-grub hide to hide it and boot straight into steamos?
I suppose I could always boot into the bios to get to windows? Or is it best practice and default for the unsightly grub menu to always show?
TIA!

You can hide it with
ujust configure-grub
Thanks! Is it supposed to be there on a fresh install though? Or just user preference?
yes, should be there on a fresh install
user preference to change it after the fact
it's in the portal
Thanks so much! 🙏
it is hot hidden by default to make it easier for people to signal to people they can boot into an older version (instead of having it hidden by default and they of course not reading documentation and their reaction is "wait i can do that?")
