@PRJT stoker Open the "System Information" app. Does this say On or Off for you?
how do that
Search for it in the Windows search bar

You need to turn Secure Boot on in BIOS, it's required for Valorant to run
why
and how do i do it
bc the Vanguard anticheat wants to make sure your computer isn't bugged at the kernel level.
what is the kernel level
how do i do it
Depends on your motherboard. I would look up a tutorial for the manufacturer of your motherboard
how do i know what motherboard i have
Go into System Information again and tell me what your BIOS Version says
this?
Yes
ok
If you have another device with you, I recommend using it to either search up a tutorial or I can help you through it ig
Because once you're in BIOS you can't search anything up to help
oh
To boot into BIOS you have to turn off your computer first, then turn it back on and WHILE it's starting up you spam a specific key
Usually it's the F11 key
ive tried that before but it doesnt work
What about "BaseBoard Manufacturer"?
The key will be DEL then
backspace?
i have a 60 percent keyboard
try F2 then
It usually tells you which key you need to press on the loading screen
So if F2 doesn't work try whatever key it says
i have tried that before
um
how do i have to turn it off to get into bios
Like, shut down your pc
Then start it up again
It doesn't matter how
fully shut down?

uhh ok
cross out your name if it's on System Name
its not
im to dumb to do that
is that what you need?
Yes, ty
Okay so for your specific motherboard you need to hit the DEL key. Are you sure you don't have one?

how did you do it before
Turn ur pc off
I tried that
Take out the power cable or whatever
turn it on and hold shift thats how I usually get in
Is it off?
or press the del key
No
No
Turn ur pc on and spam the F2 key as its starting
Star spamming F2 the moment u press the power button to start it
Turn off your PC.
Turn it back on and immediately start pressing the BIOS/UEFI setup key repeatedly. Common keys are Del, F2, F10, Esc, or F12. Your motherboard’s manual or a quick search online should tell you the correct key for your system.
If you can access the BIOS, navigate to the Secure Boot and CSM settings. Disable CSM first, then enable Secure Boot.
Its F2 for asus
None
keep trying
Nothing appearing
Turn your pc off
Welp
Immediantly when you turn it on
spam F2
just keep spamming
Nothing
Ur mobo might be cooked :val_HelloBro:

How did you do it?
Del
I pressed
Did you spam it, hit it once, or hold it
Spam
Aren't u trying the F2 key?
Or have u been trying del this entire time
Both
Turn ur pc off
I tried that
Power it on and keep spamming the F2 key for around 1 minute
His computer was already in UEFI BIOS mode. Are you sure you didn’t enable/disable any other settings?
All I touched was the secure boot
Because theres no way he gets locked out like that?
CSM was enabled
Azan forgot to ask them to disable it
Well u can deal with it
If this doesn’t work, @PRJT stoker then I want you to unplug your PSU and hold the power button for 30 seconds and then plug it back in and try to turn it on
Imma dip
Won't do anything
worth a shot
They will need to reset the CMOS
Tried it
^

I dont blame him Lol
I meant like disable csm
Eh its easily fixable
yea yea let me just go into my BIOS so i can load up a FPS game
Going into the bios is no big deal tho?
U acting like it will take them a week to enter bios
For the audience of Valorant? The userbase of Windows players? They're not Linux users
sigh
Solution
Solution:- enable secure boot from ur bios (also do it properly u dumbass)
Riot and Microsoft employ consumerism. They bank off of an easy access hands-off experience so they can control their users
