Is cursor speed different in bazzite compared to windows 10 by default?
Im away from home this week, and have bazzite installed on my laptop instead of windows 11, I brought my mouse in hopes to keep my streak going on osus new daily challenge mode, but my mouse feels incredibly different between how im used to on my desktop and on my laptop. I already turned off mouse accel and should be on the same dpi since im using the default profiles, but have no way to check since the software I use for my mouse isnt compatible with linux. is this just placibo or something or is there genuinely a difference i can fix? Thanks.

not 100% sure but i do believe the default is different between the OSes
i know MacOS has it incredibly low compared to Windows and Linux/Bazzite for example
now i havent used windows extensively for a very long time (almost a decade) so i cant say if there is a big difference between windows and bazzite in the cursor speed (plus i tend to game with high dpi/cpi)
I use a fairly low dpi at 800
yeah but if the pointer speed is not the same PPI in both OSes you will notice a difference,
i know i do when i switch to macOS and my 8k DPI goes down to something like 1K :clueless:
i dont notice anything of note between windows and bazzite but then again i run windows virtualized so my mouse movements are translated to the VM since the mouse is not physically attached in windows, hence why i cant provide a better fix than try adjust pointer speed until it feels good enough (the sliders between windows and bazzite also do not match)
Yeah. I'll have to experiment with it when I get back home and find out how to make it the same. I was hoping someone here just knew the exact setting, since I don't have access to my windows PC to compare right now lol
yeah sadly no i dont have myself π¦
