There should be some evidence on the inside of a tailor's work. Mismatching thread, slightly mis-aligned edges of a lining, seams at the sides where it was taken in etc. If the seat was brought in as well you can look for extra fabric allowance inside, evidence of moved back pockets or belt loops. Maybe someone with actual sewing experience has more tells but these are just what I've picked up that points toward an alteration.
Sometimes the pockets are weirdly far back
Thank you
Is there where'd I'd look to see if the waist has been taken in?
Or at the sides?
They sortve are all the way on the side edge of the pants
Would that mean the pants have been let out?
I want to make sure the pants haven't been taken in because that's what I need to have done
Looks like it's been taken in a bit.
Ohh I have to return it then
It needs to be taken in an inch
Wait why do you think they have been taken in?
Misaligned waistband, excess fabric in the middle has a visible crease in it from where it was sewn together before.
Still might be able to take it in a bit more, the side seams can be taken in which will avoid interfering with pocket placement any further.
Ask ur tailor
Thank you that is very helpful
Does this pair look altered?
Oh NVM the seller thinks they've been brought in
Went to my back home tailor today and he said the ones I bought can be taken in a lot but not taken out much so I'm having them taken in
