Patterned Shirt and Tie guide?
I know a white OCBD can be matched with a lot of ties, but are there specific guides/advice/tips on how to match patterned ties with patterned shirts?
I can only remember two things so far and that's that your tie is supposed to be darker than your shirt, and that it's good to match the main colors of the tie to the main colors of the shirt (if these are wrong though lemme know š)

Complementary colours often better than matching colours.
Often make sure the patterns are different dimensions and/or patterns. Eg. Striped shirt and dotted tie.
Similarly, if one has a bold pattern, the other probably shouldn't.
But more broadly - try stuff on, ask for feedback, trust your critical eye
