Bought a few items from P&C & Uniqlo, and I require a fit check 1/3
Hi,
I'm trying to replace my old wardrobe as some articles are already getting those tiny holes from overuse.
About myself: I'm male, recently reached my thirties, and work in IT, and thereforce I suck at taking selfies.
Purchased items
Jack & Jones Slim Fit 34/34
I created a gallery here with all the pictures: https://imgbox.com/g/v0UZdw7u8I, and here are the direct ones as well:
* https://images2.imgbox.com/97/4d/RUFI9VXP_o.jpeg
* https://images2.imgbox.com/d2/a4/dB5pKvJX_o.jpeg
* https://images2.imgbox.com/4b/1f/XZ0y0Y3e_o.jpeg (sorry it's blurry)
* https://images2.imgbox.com/1c/cd/0e1nD1zK_o.jpeg (I took a better one without wearing it)
* https://images2.imgbox.com/bf/b5/xnrUJoBA_o.jpeg
* https://images2.imgbox.com/bc/92/5A8oobEh_o.jpeg (really tight)
My main problem is with the pants. I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures, but the calf feels extremely tight, and I'm pretty thin, especially my legs. It almost feels like I'm wearing leggings, not that I have yet. I apologize about the ass shots. I promise they keep getting less in future galleries. The waist is completely fine though.
Tom Tailor Slim Chino 34/34
Here's another gallery with all the pictures: https://imgbox.com/g/eeqPyrhVtJ, and here are the direct ones:
* https://images2.imgbox.com/e9/c5/EY2n3PGr_o.jpeg
* https://images2.imgbox.com/23/64/M6UcVYaj_o.jpeg
* https://images2.imgbox.com/ee/04/4kdWsrHS_o.jpeg
* https://images2.imgbox.com/57/34/0HsojwYS_o.jpeg
* https://images2.imgbox.com/c7/d6/lSJQfOQk_o.jpeg
Those pants feel too tight as well at the calfs but slightly less than the Jack & Jones ones. The belt was actually included, that's a minor plus. The waist is completely fine though.
I believe the pants fits aren't very good, and I bought some additional ones from Uniqlo. Even my photo game improved.

this will help a lot with the mechanical fit pic issues
cup/mug + chair + phone on self-timer + a little bit of distance = success
largely it looks fine though ur chinos (pants) a wee bit tight at the waist, and that may be an issue with you having your belt too tight
the slim fit, to me, does not contrast ideally on the pants and the shirts when the shirts look like regular fit
slim fit is kinda on the 📉 current-trend-wise
but this is definitely contributing to the odd pocket flaring
Thanks, I uploaded two more threads where I got less tight pants. I feel those fit better. I should probabl ylink them.
this also hits contrasting (and not in a good way) formality between chinos, which are more business-y these days, which is to say MARGINALLY more formal than jeans or other pants
against the anime tees
which are just as casual as it gets
To be fair I didn't even attempt to match, I just wanted to show off the anime t-shirts if they are wearable in casual setting or if I should just return them.
gotcha! that's aok
I mean if u want to that's wholly a personal taste thing, they fit fine if a wee bit big comparably, but again that's honestly fine
dw I'm workin thru ur threads I see em!
I added the third thread as well now: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1268573827781099551
God I feel like a boomer, Discord changed quite a bit in the last few years
for the future, i might recommend making one gargantuan thread instead of 3 smaller ones
it's going to be hard for people to respond across 3 threads and for you to manage those responses
I tried to but I hit the char limit. I mentions an upload limit as well even though all my pictures are already uploaded on an image host.
right, yes, - worst case you could follow up in subsequent posts in the same thread (like you are currently)
to Elvander's point, embedding the images in the posts is much more user-friendly as well
Oh, maybe that would have been easier.
Did anyone get to check the second thread? https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1268573078171025450
I think the Uniqlo chinos fit better than the P&C ones.
oh ok I see those pants now ok I mean I think they all generally fit roughly the same
it's gonna be a personal taste thing that you have to make a decision on as to which ones you like the color the most of
if you told me they were all uniqlo slim fit I wouldn't have batted an eye
Aren't the ones from the first thread tighter though? I almost though I was wearing leggings, especially the calfs were really tight.
they look to fit roughly the same and they're different shades of the same thing
if one set felt tighter and esp if they felt uncomfy, get a more relaxed fit and/or size up (probably the former first)
https://images2.imgbox.com/bc/92/5A8oobEh_o.jpeg
This one i mean.
^
I guess it might not be obvious in the pictures, I'm kinda bad at taking them. I did sneakily take them in an elevator, I didn't want my neighbor to know what I'm doing. 😅
right but you can do this strat in your apt itself w the phone cam
might I also less than gently suggest taking some inspo from here

again my intuition here is you are wearing pants that are too tight
I am someone who largely wears skinnies and you are conveying here you are not comfortable in slim fit, so the solution to that is don't
Given that this is Discord, would any of you wear any of the Oshi no Ko shirts in public? I feel like returning them, maybe keep 1 or 2 at most.
Here are better pictures: https://www.uniqlo.com/eu/en_AT/men/featured/ut-graphic-print-collections/oshi-no-ko
I especially like the front of this one: https://www.uniqlo.com/eu/en_AT/product/oshi-no-ko-ut-graphic-t-shirt-473122.html?dwvar_473122_color=COL09&cgid=IDoshinoko21732
The bunny could be brand logo but the back is kinda weeby.
Oshi no Ko UT collection | UNIQLO EU
Popular anime Oshi no Ko makes its UT debut with an original collection that incorporates the cuteness and darkness of the series.
Oshi No Ko UT Graphic T-Shirt
OSHI NO KOOSHI NO KO is a manga series currently serialized in “WEEKLY YOUNG JUMP” and the first anime season was released in 2023. This is the first collaboration with OSHI NO KO, as it prepares to air its second season. @kyn might
i would not
lol
(sorry for the callout)
LOL
ok that's a pretty hard knock
Given that this is Discord, would any of you wear any of the Oshi no Ko shirts in public?
i am largely opposed to loud anime gear unless its like undercover/yohji
LMAO
ok ty that is clear 2 me
i have an a24/online ceramics shirt i wear a lot and i might wear my horny medieval fantasy art shirt a bit but more than likely i am gonna retire it
Pulling off anime shirts well takes a high level of skill
its definitely doable
but if you have to ask the question you probably aren't there
Is any of those Uniqlo Oshi no Ko t-shirts doable?
i also think like a "vintage" or bootleg yugioh/pokemon/digimon something similar (saturday morning/toonami block) etc is different than something currently airing
I genuinely think if you are asking this question the answer is no
i also dont know you or your context
same principle as "if you have to ask, you can't afford it"
Yeah without full fit posts it's hard to gauge overall
I know I'm being overly critical but you're asking for feedback on stuff without context
my friends in like LA or northern virginia who go to tons of edm shows and are huge weebs and are fuckin ripped can wear those sure
it's still kind of cringe but whatever
but if you're unsure i just wouldn't
like you may come around to them at some point and feel like "yeah this makes sense"
these two are the most wearable but
i wouldn't
and then it's self-fulfiling prophecy in the positive way
like i have a vintage samurai champloo hoodie signed by shinichiro watanabe
and i do not wear it
even though its sick
lmao
if i were gonna wear anime gear it'd probably be vintage/bootleg akira, gits, maybe evangelion
I mean any of those t-shirts with a Jeans (regular or raw denim), and one of the Uniqlo chinos I posted?
but i also simply wouldnt
Probably the safest bet. 😃
the rawness of the denim does not affect the degree of awkward of wearing an anime t shirt
You're getting as close to a hard no as you'll get here
i really have no experience or interest in anime shirts, but I see a wide difference between anime shirts styled with very contemporary wide streetwear leaning fits vs styled with more typical normal jeans, etc.
also try wider pants if slim fit is making you unhappy
yeah like i would trust mew (rip) to wear an anime shirt (she wouldnt)
or like blueeyes to wear a literal blue eyes white dragon shirt
actually she did let me dig
but 99.9% of people thinking of wearing an anime shirt prolly shouldnt
i remember making a joke about it
i think she wore a heavn by marc jacob shirt no
anyway
irrelevant
very narrow band of "acceptable" loud anime gear for most people, it's highly style dependent, if you want to look "good" and "acceptable" to a "wide crosscut of the general population" an anime t shirt is not it, especially not one with a teenage pop idol who gets murdered on it
this is what i was thinking of, is it anime enough? https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1154667506619924501/1157378803706892378
im no connoisseur
borderline but also illustrates the idea that swag power level is commensurate with ability to wear anime or anime adjacent shit
also i was right it was heavn
I was just googling to see if I could find effective implementation of anime and :
that works but also costs about 4k to put together
i hate it
great pants tho
also rick shoes lmao
oh its vetements
fuckin of course
and the pants are also vete
i said what i said, the black on white yohji or undercover eva shit is some of the easiest to pull off and even then it's on the razor's edge of bricking
anyway michael if you were deep into y2k/streetwear it'd be one thing but you aren't so it's another
if you're big on anime it's honestly more fun to be inspired by a character, eg-
disneybounding but make it anime
You would have to pay me to unironically wear that outside.
it is really not that big of a leap
from the oshi no ko gear
anyway
also yeah context is important.. wearing an anime shirt to like.. a mechanical keyboard meetup is diff than wearing it to starbucks or whatever
I'm packing it up right now
way harsh tai
it's good to develop a critical eye but just as important to keep an open mind especially if you're starting out with things
on a scale where 0 is not wearing anime gear and 10 is wearing lewds, wearing any anime gear that isn't both extremely recognizable and a print that isn't cringe is already like a 7/10 for most people
I think he got the message
I just can't get over the two teenager (?) in underwear that are "hugging".
projecting a lot there
but yes its a bad shirt
tbh I saw the shirt and immediately thought of this https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1265888972131794977
Just in case you missed it from the 2/3 thread but is this Zara linen shirt (50% linen, 50% cotton) with the Uniqlo chino fine? I rolled down one arm just to check the length, I'll probably wear it only in sommer.
Sorry about the bad elevator pic.
It's fine, completely inoffensive.
i gave all of my answers to all of your threads in the last one
Oops that's where I rolled it down.
Thanks! It says zero responses in the 2/3 thread though, that's why I'm confused.
this is totally fine for work and casual wear
like others said it's not like "remarkable" in the most literal sense of the word, but it looks aok and no need to overthink it
people are just dumping responses into these other threads because it's easier to follow the conversations in one thread only
they can see your post they just don't need to post in there
Makes sense, I'll try a better approach next time. I didn't consider the char limit as I converted a reddit thread.
post the second and third parts as comments in the first part
easier to follow the flow
in future I mean
Thanks, that's totally fine with me. Usually I don't want to stand out in a crowd. Just look decent enough.
to be frank, the character limit is not the issue here. If anything staying in the character limit will help keep your point concise
It was not just the character limit, for some reason a picture limit as well. Even though I posted links to imgbox.com.
I guess it tried to parse them to display them right away?
put the images directly into discord
but my point is you asked basically three separate questions but spread them evenly over different threads
1 thread for pants
1 thread for anime shirt
1 thread for linen shirt
would be my suggestion
its so confusing otherwise
Yeah, that's true.
Btw. what's wrong with Imgur these days? I wanted to upload a picture but it asked me for an account. It had me enter a valid phone number, and preselected my area code. When I filled out all the data, and hit submit, it told me I'm not allowed to register an Imgur account in my country (determined by the prefilled area code). 🤨
Is there a better alternative?
Just upload to Discord if you're using it? What if you're not though? Can I hotlink Discord images on other websites?
its easy
Discord and yes you can hotlink from discord I think
https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1268573827781099551/1268580572888961044
try clothes on together before saying they work or don't work
figure out what you need out of clothes and what you like looking at/like
keep an open mind about fit and color and designs; wear what you feel good in
read this https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1268236736694321265
yeah skin tone color theory nonsense is nonsense
so is season nonsense
no one is a bitter cool winter
or whatever
Thanks for all the advice! People were surprisingly nice & helpful compared to Reddit. So some comments even caught me off guard.
to be clear, that's bc nearly all of the ppl who were on the sub giving helpful advice bailed to be here
but we're glad to be of service 🫡
