Cannot boot into Bazzite installer regardless of what I try
I have been trying for a while to get Bazzite installed, but despite setting everything correctly as far as I can tell, I cannot get into the installer. I originally posted this on reddit and was pointed here, being told it was likely because I am using an RX 580. However that doesn't make sense considering the issue with Polaris revolves around Gamescope, and not getting it installed to begin with. The system I am using has a Ryzen 3 1200, RX 580, 16GB of RAM, and a Gigabyte A320M motherboard. I have tried multiple USB sticks, and even swapping GPU's to my RX 5700XT that I took out of my main desktop. CSM Support is disabled, and Secure Boot is also disabled. The farthest I can get is the boot selection screen where you choose between Installing Bazzite-40, testing and then installing, and then troubleshooting. I have also tried booting into the installer with basic graphics mode and nothing I do produces a different result. I have also tried installing Fedora and then rebasing to Bazzite, but I am then unable boot into Bazzite when I select it in the bootloader. The specific options I chose when downloading as of today are "Home Theater PC" > "AMD" > "KDE" > "Yes" (to gaming mode). For what its worth, I have also tried using ChimeraOS on this system which does install, but then does not get past the BIOS screen as it locks up. At this point I have tried many things and cannot figure out how to progress. Any help is greatly appreciated

Have you tried booting the stock fedora kinoite/silverblue installer?
you can rebase to bazzite from there once they're installed
if that fails you, then it confirms something is very wrong on your end and we can't help you
Yes, I installed Fedora Kinoite and followed the steps to rebase, but when rebooting I am prompted between booting Bazzite and booting Fedora. Choosing Bazzite loads nothing, but choosing Fedora boots right into the regular Kinoite installation
that's very odd
I have also tried using ChimeraOS on this system which does install, but then does not get past the BIOS screen as it locks up.This is also odd, I'm not convinced this is an us problem because of ^ if you can get a log we might be able to help you, but that's dependent on reaching a TTY which it doesn't sound like you're able to
Yeah, as far as Bazzite goes I just getting past the boot loader on the USB. It really doesn't make any sense to me considering any OS except SteamOS-like operating systems work. The only one I was able to get "working" was a Nobara Deck install but that had a lot of issues with games crashing, assuming because of Polaris issues, and I tried Bazzite since i was under the impression that there was a fix for Polaris GPUs
aye, they work on the latest release
one of our maintainers is on Polaris
I suppose the only other thing to do to rule out the problem is try installing it on my main PC with a much more modern system (R7 5800X) with the RX 580 in it and see if that works. If that, does, then my only guess is something with the motherboard, which I have also ensured the BIOS is fully updated
Yep, suppose the issue lies with some other hardware. What exactly it could be ive no idea but given the installer works on my main PC with the RX 580 installed it's safe to say it's not on y'alls end. I do appreciate the very quick response regardless
