trying to recreate this fit but can’t find a good striped tie to match my purple striped shirt
I’m going to a wedding and want to recreate this outfit but I can’t find purple vertically striped ties and very few vertically striped ties except some on Aliexpress. Any suggestions on where to look or a different colour of stripes to match? I’m trying to go for the -tie and shirt are one- look.

I think the only practical way to get what you want is to buy two identical shirts and find someone to use the material from one to create a tie for you.
It’s not a look I would have thought to try, but if you’re set on doing it, you probably need the same material and pattern in the tie. If you just want something that’s similar and not identical, I’d think about going with a conventional tie pattern instead.
Companies like Sam Hober may be able to use their existing material and do vertical stripes instead of their usual patterns, but their selection of cotton for ties is limited — mostly silk.
if you found the striped shirt and a solid color tie that matched the color, you could use a fabric marker or paint to draw the stripes yourself
that is subject to your willingness to DIY stuff to resemble mcqueen for someone's wedding
