Extremely fast battery drain (Legion Go)
Running the latest stable of Bazzite with only Handheld Daemon as a Decky plugin, I’ve noticed that the battery of my Legion Go drains extremely fast.
Even on the quiet TDP mode (8W), the battery drains about 1% per minute—also when it’s just idling on the main Steam menu.
In Handheld Daemon, I have enabled that it does energy management (was enabled by default IIRC). So I wonder if it’s HHD that messes up, or it could be something else.
My question: is it safe to turn off energy management by Handheld Daemon and let Bazzite manage it?

HHD is part of bazzite and default-enabled
you do not need the decky plugin, feel free to remove it
power should be entirely managed through HHD on that handheld, please post your HHD settings and we can take a look
In the HHD, energy management is set to Auto
and TDP?
I use the Legion Go profile, 8W it’s set to
pretty low limit, definitely something odd going on here
I use 20W w/ TDP boost, and auto

if you want HHD, double tap QAM

Fan curve I’ve set to manual. Works great to keep the thing cool. I hope that’s okay.
And the core settings
I uninstalled the Decky plugin and rebooted. Battery is still down 3% in the past 3 minutes… still on 8W. Screen brightness is all the way up, but that shouldn’t cost 1% battery per minute?

In game with 60hz if it's light it will say 10w
Then it’s just the big ass screen draining
That's what you can expect as far as battery life is concerned

The amd processor can't downclock properly below 8w if the system is asking for 8w
I thought with TDP on 8W it should last much longer. But this is not a steam deck of course
It lasts for 5 hours
If you set up the game properly
But if not it lasts for 3 hours
We are told ally x is a lot better
Asus shaved 2w. But legion go that is the lowest it will go
