You can use whatever you'd like, but if you want to learn a frontend framework to improve your career prospect, then go with more popular frameworks like React,Vue or Angular
for web? one of the popular js ones yeah

team angular here
blazor & react
I wouldn't say blazor as its still fairly new to the family
its definitively growing but the other stacks have far more demand
they are still in learning phases and also a .net dev so blazor is also the part of .net meaning handling full stack applications with the single tech stack . Blazor is often recommended to .net devs , besides it they can learn react etc for exploration and learning .
it's also not new anymore
for small to medium sized applications it can do fine. For example Microsoft used it in .Net Aspire dashboard
not really rocket science
nothing wrong with getting familiar with blazor, however u might want to do some research first
Yeah if someone is learning a frontend for a future job, then Blazor should be avoided
thing is job market now can differ is another 3 years
True but no WASM frontend framework will be as big as JS ones
if you asked the same question 5 years back jQuery would be relevant
tbh wonder what are the numbers for jquery rn
jQuery is very relevant because of legacy code bases
I wouldn't say avoided but definitively not a 1st or 2nd option right now
@leowest can you show the number for jquery ? just curious
already closed it sowwy
damn
in the original question they didn't mention anything about getting a job or market. they're new to .net and it's apparently for learning purposes
more reason for u to suggest him something solid over something experimental imo
wait so you still think blazor is experimental ?

I was saying about number of jobs
Don't take it out of context
may be svelte is more suitable for asp.netcore?
Tbh I would say try everything and see what fits for you
If you have time
If not pick the popular ones like react and angular
my point of view is that blazor failed to delivery their initial promise of removing js, even hydro has a better approach to it and where it relies on wasm that is still immature, single threaded, its imo very incomplete compared to the alternatives. That's why I said experimental.
and that is also why I said I would not recommend blazor as a 1st or 2nd option, but that there is nothing wrong in getting familiar with it.
Yes react and angular has a large ecosystem
But no harm in learning blazor
