straight lines 2

using family of straight lines L1+kL2=0 we get (3+k)x-y(4-k)+6+2k=0 given that line is parallel to 2x-y+3=0 therefore req line must be of the form 2x-3y+C= 0 where c is a constant. i compared the coeffs directly but couldnt get the answer, why?

Point of intersection niklo parallel line se slope uthao

sirf slope equate karne se bhi kaam ho sakta hai but why is my approach wrong

Ye 2x-3y+c kaha se le aye Dono line parallel hai to coefficient ka ratio equal hoga

not sure doing with family of lines would help you , you are adding more variables ?

Its a direct question fam of lines will make it even longer lol

also it just says its parrallel to y = 2x + 3 so it would be more of a form of : y = 2x + C your "must be of the form " doesnt have the same slope , check

my bad i added the 3 , but i intended your eqn only y=2x+c wali

yeah that should work now lemme try yeah works sick method 🔥 imma keep it in mind actually faster ngl

ans is 5/3=k

yeah does it give -4 as c? should i think, conceptually it sounds good calculation sucks tho

hardcoreisdeadOP•8mo ago
this gives 2 values of k and c is 6+2k so cant really say calc aasan karne ke lie hi toh yeh method lia hai , idk where does this lack tho Yo i got it The ratio of coeffs will be equal and not the coefficients exactly , which is just equating the slope @Weirdo
