Two dress shoe qs
As someone very uninterested in shoes until recently, I'd love to get some thoughts on these two older pairs I came across in my mom's closet.
1. for the loafers, I'm moreso familiar with how versatile black & brown leather ones can be through MFA fits. How 'weird' is the combination of black and suede?
2. what is the second pair called, and how formal is their connotation?
I know these aren't very clear questions (and I hate using such a broad term as 'versatile'), but I really don't know anything here. Thanks in advance!!

I personally find brown more versatile in general.
Second pair are wingtip oxfords, I believe.
I would say they are pretty formal, but slightly less so than plainer oxfords due to the broguing (the punched decorations)
They would probably be a jacket-and-tie shoe for me
black suede loafers aren't the weirdest combination i've seen though the moc toe is less common
bass weejun larsens are a similar shoe that is common in mfad but their suede equivalent tend to read more formal
I see! Thank you so much--this is so helpful
Maybe it's time to get more interested in picking up a pair of brown loafers
