Bedrock-Java crossplay questions
I've been out of the server making game for a while now but I wanna get back into it. Last time I had a server it was Java Purpur with Geyser and Floodgate. The geyser and floodgate thing was really buggy and made bedrock players jitter around, it also made things like the ender dragon really hard to fight. What I mean by that is that it felt like the dragons hitbox was very small and only registered 10% of the hits. It's was super weird.
Also, does anybody know of any settings or plugins I can use/chainge to get rid of things like spectral items and the attack cool down?
I haven't made the server yet, I'm just trying to figure out if I can avoid thoes problems that I had last time.
Also since I've not been into server making for a while you'll need to explain it to me like I'm 10yo.

Paper (or forks of it like Purpur and Pufferfish) along with Geyser+Floodgate is still the best around. It has probably improved a ton but it will never be 100% the same in terms of how Bedrock interacts with the Java version of the game, it is a separate product for a reason. This should work to remove cooldowns (not tested personally). And what do you mean by spectral items?
@øNeg ^^
Things like spectral arrows and spectral potions that you find in loot chests and that kinda stuff. If I remember correctly on my server for bedrock players they had the normal arrow texture and bedrock players couldn't shoot them either. Also entities with the spectral effect had particle effects but not the outline.
Also thanks for the cooldown plugin.

Old but that probably won't be fixed
Ok thanks. Is there any way to remove the item from the game so people are unable to find and obtain them? Other than using commands to clear them.
Perfect! This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
I've never messed with the loot tables before, and it looks like thoes getser plugins may let bedrock players have the spectral effect. But if not then I will consider editing loot tables and just /clearing it from inventories.
Sounds great! Have fun 🙂
Do you know how to change the post status to "solved"?
^^
Any of the methods should work
Oh right forgot about that, thanks.
