Xbox Elite Controller
My Elite controller is being detected as a normal Xbox controller so I can't map my back buttons.
Installed Bazzite on an AMD desktop. Plugged in the Xbox wireless adapter for PC and connected my Elite Controller. Any advice would be appreciated.

Steam does not use the driver
There might be a rule missing
Can you see the back buttons in the steam input profile
Or advanced calibration?
I cannot. When going to steam input it just shows "Xbox One Controller"
I have Bazzite on my Legion Go. HHD tricked steam into seeing an elite controller. Could I do that here?
steam has native support for xbox elite controllers
there might be some issue with your setup
do
journalctl -b | fpaste
Ran it. Nothing has changed. Restarting to be sure.
man you need to post the link
One moment. Let me launch discord on there so I can share.
Didn't see there was a link. Sorry π

No rush. Didn't mean to seem bothersome I just imagine you won't see this unless I reply
seems to be the xone driver

seems to need xpad neo
I see. Will take a look.
i dont think you can include it yourself
bazzite needs to get tweaked for it
i must have been thinking for xbox elite 2
that one does not need a driver
actually 0 clue
i looked into the sdl source code and xbox elite 2 doesnt need a driver
but looking into your case, there is no hid node for the controller
so it cant be hid, must be some xbox proprietary stuff
does the controlelr have bluetooth?
The only limit is wired, wireless they use the standard xone driver
And the dongle driver is present
When wired it falls back to the xpad driver because it supports way, way more controllers
Not sure if this is relevant, but chimeraOS ships an xone fork (called xonedo) that handles the xone dongle only.
They use the xpad driver for everything else.
Oh nevermind, I see that bazzite already uses xonedo
yep
apologies for the late reply. Thank you for confirming this. I guess we will have to wait it out π
I do have the series 2
I had Chimera. Same issue. Paddles are not seen.
Thank you all for helping out π
I wonder if it could be related to this: https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/970#issuecomment-2192803764

Also. Is this what I should comonly use when asking for assistance with Bazzite? Am about to post another issue with a different desktop running bazzite. Should I run this and post the link when I ask for help?
a lot of times, yes you'd be asked to do that
but not always, it depends on the bug
Freshly installed Bazzite on the desktop and it doesnt boot into gamemode π
ill make the post tho. Thank you!
rip. please make sure to mention your hardware info when you post
Hey sorry to come back to this so late.
Im not sure if ive already brought this up. But it seems that HHD has found a way to convince steam/bazzite that an elite controller is being used on my Legion Go.
Is there not a way to do the same with the elite controller on a desktop with Bazzite installed? Granted this would have to be configured by whoever makes HHD i guess.
without the proper driver linux cant see the back buttons
Yeah all the linux support for the handhelds are using emulated controllers, it is how the support works.
