What Figma says
Hello, guys! I want to know what figma says here. For me it says that there is an image with background color of lightgrey 50%, but the designer says he's not puted any background color on it

it's a bit strange. normally multiple backgrounds are seperated by a comma. So i expect this 'lightgrey' value does nothing
it does something: it sets the background-color
yea, indeed. it is in the spec for the shorthand. (but it might be overridden by the image?)
no it isn't overridden
it's just "hidden", but it is there
well, it doesnt show up at least
if you put a transparent image, the transparency will show the background color
ah, then im probably confused with the screenshot. thought that was transparent bg
it's an opaque image
no transparency
so, the background color isnt visible
but, to answer the question: the designer probably did it by mistake
but there's no way to deny that there's a background color
thank you
you're welcome
Figmas css has always been wonky . For example I remember last year looking at the css for a text object and it was defining the color of the text as a background and there was no background clip , it wasn’t an svg with a fill either. Most likely a weird Figma thing not the designer
