Decky Loader
Hi all, so I am aware that with HHD the TDP panel is easily accessible in Bazzite. However, I would love to customize more of the Steam app's appearance in gaming mode. In particular the lack of any art for non-Steam titles really bugs me. I read that CSS Loader which is a plugin that is part of Decky Loader can be used to add custom icon art. How do I install Decky Loader? When I download the executable for Decky Loader on GitHub, executing it in Bazzite does... nothing? Or is there a better way to customize my non-steam apps?

ujust setup-decky
Solution
their installer should also work
all we're doing is running it
if the ujust doesn't work:
curl -L https://github.com/SteamDeckHomebrew/decky-installer/releases/latest/download/install_release.sh | sh
if you're on steam beta, you need decky pre-release
curl -L https://github.com/SteamDeckHomebrew/decky-installer/releases/latest/download/install_prerelease.sh
This is what happened after I typed that command into the terminal. I still do not see Decky under Installed apps, however upon rebooting and going into Gaming Mode it looks like this did something, because now the back buttons no longer work to bring up TDP (right button) or the virtual keyboard (left button).
It's not an app, you'll see it in game mode
And your control should not change, has nothing to do with that
how do i invoke it in game mode?
It's in the QAM menu
Same as the deck
OK, i do see it now - though TDP and virtual keyboard are definitely gone. Back buttons no longer do anything. What else could cause those controls to get changed?
Those are controlled by HHD
Nothing should have changed by installing decky, they don't even talk to each other
Make sure you're controller is set to one that has paddles in HHD
I figured it out. Long-pressing the Armory Crate key seems to toggle the back buttons on and off. By holding the AC key down for 3 seconds, the back buttons became enabled again.
