Problems with Dual Monitors, PC Crashing and Graphic Bugs in general
Hi, after recently installing Bazzite on my TV PC, I decided to set it up on my main system in a dual-boot configuration with Windows 11. The installation went smoothly for the most part, but I'm experiencing some issues with my dual monitor setup and graphics on both the KDE and Gnome desktops.
Issues:
- Frequent but Easily Fixed Bug: Occasionally, one of my monitors freezes. I can still move the mouse to the frozen monitor and drag windows between the monitors. To fix this, I either disable and re-enable one of the monitors in the graphic settings or unplug and replug the monitor cable (it doesn't have to be the monitor that froze).
- Rare but Requiring Restart Bug: Sometimes, whatever program I'm using suddenly closes, and a few seconds later, both screens go black, and my PC crashes. Although both monitors indicate they have a signal, the screens remain black. My PC's fans and the lighting on my mouse and keyboard continue to work, but I lose audio in a Discord call, and my friends see that I've left the call.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
I attempted to reinstall the Nvidia graphics drivers using a tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5uxX2U3tYE). The process went smoothly until 3:42, where I tried to install mokutil with the command:
"sudo dnf install kmodtool akmods mokutil openssl"
I received the message:
"error: "mokutil" is already provided by: mokutil-2:0.7.1-1.fc40.x86_64. Use --allow-inactive to explicitly require it."
This seemed fine, but when I ran:
"sudo kmodgenca -a"
I got the error:
"sudo: kmodgenca: Befehl nicht gefunden" (My system is in German; this translates to "command not found")
my Question is: What can i do to continue the Nvidia drivers install? Is the Drivers reinstall necesary or should I do something else? Is this a known issue? if yes than wat is the fix?

The Nvidia drivers are part of the image and cannot be reinstalled
It would make no difference anyway, we have the exact same files
I would run
rpm-ostree reset
to clean out anything you might have done, and then try switching to X11
Unfortunately we can only do so much to make nvidia's drivers functionalSolution
