Best shoes for back to school high school?
Hey y'all, I'm wondering what shoes to get for back to school for my first year in highschool. My fashion is a mix of streetwear, but I also wear normal sweaters and hoodies with oversized tees, cargos, sweatpants, and shorts and I wanted to know what one pair of shoes could help me with all these outfits. I have one pair of New Balance 574 in the brownish colorway, but I was thinking about getting Airmax 90s in the all white colorway but I recently recalled about getting sambas even though they're falling out of fashion. Any recommendations for what shoes to get that would help and fit with my entire wardrobe? My Budget is around the 150$ Range.

Its really personal preference. Sambas are out of fashion, but the silhouette is eternal so don't worry too much about that.
If you are limited on money and the total amount of shoes in your wardrobe (a reality of being your age) then you should probably grab something versatile color-wise. There are lots of people in #waywt wearing sneakers so that could be a great place to start.
To list off a lot of common picks in your price range:
- Vans Old Skool/Slipon/Authentic
- Salomon XT-4 & XT-6 (on sale)
- German Army Trainers
- Adidas Gazelle, Samba, Handball Spezial, etc.
- Nike Cortez, AirMax (90, 97, 1), AF1, Dunk
- New Balance 99X, 574, 2002, 1906, etc.
- Other brands like Asics/Onitsuka Tiger, Saucony, Puma, Veja, Karhu, Reebok, and alot more all have great offerings
Personally I have a large collection of sneakers that are mostly different sambas, gazelles, air max 97s, and tons of made in USA new balances
plus I just picked up a pair of salomon XT-4s

For sure, I don't think that being prescriptive and saying "just buy a pair of New Balance 1906s" is gonna really help since its all gonna depend on what you think looks cool. Style is personal.

if you already have a brown pair, then aim for something white/off white probably
thats gonna be the easiest to pair with most things
down the line, if you want a larger sneaker collection you can branch out and have 4 different sneakers in similar colors

i also just picked up a pair of Nike Initators for 20 bucks at the outlet, they do look like dad shoes but i think they're gonna look really well with some outfitd
