F- will be the biggest while talking abt hydride ions as size is small and charge density super high so it will accumlate most water molecules

sukuna pfp goes hard bro 🔥 isnt F- ion smallest in the table, hence it will be between B,C and D but idk exact ans if it was single correct id go D xd

Lol the answer is actually d But idk how Can someone give the exact order of size here
g-sus
g-sus•7mo ago
ig it shd be F- < Cl- < Br- < H- < I-

Reasoning ?

down the group anion size increases, and since here ans u said is D, H- is bigger than F, Cl and Br but not I anion
hardcoreisdead
hardcoreisdeadOP•7mo ago
But we know that H is the smallest element how does one electron make it so big

Volume of anion and comparison
Recently, I came across a book in which I was solving the exercises and found out that the solution to a question says that the fluoride ion, $\ce{F^-}$, is smaller in size than the hydride ion, $...

charge density as pointed out

i did think of applying that my teacher says to avoid using that when neither z nor e is fixed

1970 resource says that fluoride is smaller 2010 one says that this is the roder

yea gotta compare apples to apples, fair yessir

hardcoreisdeadOP•7mo ago
so to sum it up we can just find z/e wait, but H- has 1/2 z/e and F- has 9/10 but the answer is D only
