Is it worth switching to more optimal keybinds? I started a while ago with no prior fps except fortnite and I put my weapons on my mouse buttons and some unconventional voice chat keys but ive been thinking about changing binds to help overall movement and comfort. Let me know what yall think.

there isnt any advantages in sticking to default ones if youre uncomfortable with them
switch to whichever ones you like but try not to have overlapping ones

I use my mouse buttons for my weapons but ive seen people say im probably better of just using 1 2 and 3 while using my abilities with my mousebuttons

I use mouse buttons for weapons too, but there are some abilities like Jett dash or raze blast pack, that are easier to move when you have them on your mouse
Its just so convenient imo and doesnt mess up my mouse grip

And whats ur melee bind
I use 2 but i switched it to 1 because its more comfortable
I've been using an mmo mouse for like 12 years, so I'm used to it. My melee is also on my mouse

I wouldn't recomend that for valorant lol. But do whatever controls are comfortable

I have 2 on each side but they are binded together
I use my thumb to click the mb
Its a rizer vioer ultimate
I just see everyone using default keys for weapons and i think maybe binding abilities to mouse might help movement when using them
Keep in mind there's also nothing stopping you from being wierd and using your right click for something else other than alt fire
At some point I was using right click for jump and scroll wheel up for ult
I jump with scroll wheel up
And have nothing binded to scroll wheel down
There's an extra mouse button for stuff too

Just try things and see what works, there's not right way to set up your binds
Ex pro player mummay used arrow keys to move
I forget the rest of his controls but it was wierd
And he was a good duelist
For the longest time I was debating moving my keyboard to the middle and using U HJK for movement and then smaller caps for crouch and walk
It sounds stupid but i had very minimal computer gaming experience
And i saw fortnite players do it

I use rdfg because my keyboard was broken on the left side
I am finally getting a new keyboard tho
So i will prob switch when i get that

Mouse wheel down melee, mouse button 4 and 5 for weapons and mouse wheel up jump
I think that could work but there might be misclicks on scroll wheel
If anyone sees this lmk what you think
your binds on the mouse might interfere with aiming or cause missclicks
but if you havent had any issues and youre comfortable with it, you should be fine
and also for certain abilities, you need to hold movement keys that could be hard to do if the key for your ability is in a weird spot
if you want, you can experiment with different abilities and binds in the range
