Authentication in a Chrome extension

I'd like to require users of my Chrome extension to enter a username and password to log in. The extension opens a sidepanel for its user interface (it uses React), so that's where I'd like the userid/pw fields to appear. Chrome has draconian security rules, so it's sometimes tricky to integrate third-party software. To avoid any issues, I was wondering if there was an example I could follow.

Hi Droiiid Don't believe we have had this question before. But let me talk to our eng team and get back to you.

Hey Droiid, We don't have any examples for browser extensions but we do have a react SDK (https://docs.kinde.com/developer-tools/sdks/native/react-native-sdk/), I'm not sure how compatible that will be with a browser extension but that may be a useful template if you need to write something bespoke, also worth noting we follow all OAuth2 standards if you need to go down that route.

I couldn't make it work, so I sent details to support.
