Footwear suggestions for wedding
Getting married in a few months and I am looking for something outside the norm. Love the double monk strap aesthetic. Leaning toward the attached picture from c&j but they are very pricey and a bit unknown as I haven't owned anything from them before. Any and all advice is welcome.
Other recommendations?
Do I ball out and get the c&j option?
Is the quality of c&j still worth the $?

Are you planning to wear these a lot after the wedding / expect them to be a go-to dress shoe in the future?
definitely planning on using whatever shoes I end up buying a lot after the wedding yes!
Cool. I'm planning for a wedding as well, and that's what led me away from the monk strap or other "outside the norm" options, as I wanted #Versatility - Topic of the day 7/7/24
That said, if you like them, go for it. C&J longevity is certainly well-known.
The still-quality-better-budget rec tends to be Allen Edmonds (particularly on sale or the factory seconds).
But C&J definitely above that in terms of quality
I don't wear suits/formal wear for work so my use is solely for occasions where I can afford some extra flare. I think because of that I gravitate away from the safer picks.
makes sense! i think they're very cool
most important thing is for you to feel fly as hell on your wedding day -- if these shoes do it for you, worth every penny, and extra use out of them is even better
