Aerofly RC10 freezes on splash screen, then crashes.

This is a game on Steam which works with Linux. I've played it with no problems using Linux Mint Debian Edition (installed through Steam, of course)
It worked for the first couple of days after installing Bazzite, but now it crashes. I wonder if there was an update that did it.
I have an Nvidia card, which I'm sure doesn't help.
Any ideas on where to look in the logs to see what's going on?
Thanks!

try running steam from terminal and see if it logs anything weird
Thanks, I'll paste the logs below. It does fail, but I'm not familiar with any of the results. I'll try and google some of them unless you know off the top of your head.
I don't see any error from the game, maybe try checking the game logs directly
You need to ask the dev for location probably
Alright thanks

I found these logs whic shed more light on the problem, but I still don't know what to do for a solution.
I'm hoping someone notices something obvious here. Thanks! Logs below...
maybe try forcing proton, some linux port are worse than using proton lol
Thanks, I'll give it a try. It's just curious that it worked fine on another non-gaming distro, and now it's giving me grief!
Forcing proton results in the same type of crash (at the splash screen), but the crash happens faster.
really weird, ive run out of idea tho, maybe other can help
I installed Manjaro with Plasma to see if it was some sort of Wayland/base OS problem, but the game is running on it no problem.
