Server decoding error, need help
Threw together my own modpack to play with friends, worked for 5 versions and I just tried adding a few new mods and 2 datapacks. Singleplayer runs perfectly fine but it seems something is up with the server, I redownloaded all mods to the server and removed the datapacks to see if they were the issue. Does anyone know how to help?

send logs of your client and server through https://mclo.gs/
mclo.gs - Paste, share & analyse your Minecraft logs
Easily paste your Minecraft logs to share and analyse them.
I put two logs from today of the server, latest.txt of server, one log from client and latest.txt of client
let me know if that wasnt right
Are you saying you merged the two logs and uploaded it to mclogs
yes
do you want seperate?
yeah
merging is not useful
do you want latest or no
Especially as I’m on mobile
uh
I want the log that has you getting kicked with the decoding error message
ok
ok
think i got it
just now tried to join a few times and it recorded in client log
Does it say you’re trying to connect in server logs?
yes
it only gives me "justthatotter connected" "justthatotter disconnected"
wait thats console let me try server logs one second
send client logs
that was client log
oh
are you sure
because I see no connection attempts in it
is that the correct log
I need the entire log
mclogs hides personal info dw
ok
i went into singleplayer in the middle of it so there might be some of that in the middle
that’s fine
As long as it included at least one attempt at connecting to the server
(I also need server logs)
im trying to put it in and maybe its too big or smth it wont register or the website crashes

Yeah… that’s a 142mb file
can you just copy like the bottom chunk of the log where you try connect
and upload that
yeah
please do
Can you try remove JEI from your client and server
exact same error message as in the screenshot above
@Skullians do you have any other ideas
