Wht i tried is that both capacitor will be in series with capacitance 2C and K2C ( dielectric is filled upto d/2 length) and then their equivalent will be 8C/5 puttinh c=10uF im getting 16uF

they would be in parallel since the potential across the plates cant change and the area would change not the distance so capacitance would become c/2 and kc/2 will will give 25 mirco farad
