Local backups from an Oracle VCN?

Heya! I'm wondering if there is any way to set up a script to automatically back up a server run off of a VM to a local drive every night at a set time? I followed this thread [https://www.reddit.com/r/admincraft/comments/qo78be/creating_a_minecraft_server_with_oracle_cloud/] pretty much to a T and literally just started screwing around with linux tonight, I know jacksquat about the terminal and have heard that Oracle likes to wipe VMs after 60 days. I don't want to do this again. God help me. The server is running 1.20.1 with Origins, Origins++, Icarus, and Traveler's Backpack as well as the dependencies. If you need any more info let me know and I'll try to find it for you!

If Oracle is going to wipe your boot volume they’re likely going to just wipe your instance entirely. I would recommend installing pterodactyl. You can make backups on the panel and download them like normal. DriveBackupV2 is also an option
