+solved @user1 @user2... to close the thread when your doubt is solved. Mention the users who helped you solve the doubt. This will be added to their stats.Write (2-2r) as (r+2-3r), the rest will become very easy.
Here's the next few steps: Telescope this to $\frac{3^{r}}{r(r+1)}-\frac{3^{r+1}}{(r+2)(r+1)}$, then the sum simply becomes $\frac{9}{3*2}-\frac{3^{101}}{101 \cdot 102}$.
