What's the MO to refuse a linkedin announcement...

What's the MO to refuse a linkedin announcement when joining a new company? Is refusing going to arouse suspicion? Have a fake linkedin currently that they shouldn't be able to find

even back in the days of monogamy and well before I even thought of OE I refused to post anything from my job (like work opportunities at my company) on LinkedIn because I hate that site and still do. I've never got any flak for not making posts as others here have said
