I'd be tempted, but as I own the Alpha, I'm hesitant about the added value (except that I find it more beautiful than the Alpha) 😉
my normie alpha has started creaking with all the rhino forces heh
i just ordered an alpha prime to hopefully rectify this, and have this flanker grip on pre-order as i much prefer the aesthetics, and also appreciate no twist
(i think the twist stuff in the other virpils contribute to the creaking/not feeling clean)
Isn't there a grub screw to lock out the twist on those ?
there are, but i think the nature of allowing rotation at the grip level relative to the connector inevitably creates an an area where some metal has to connect to the plastic, and this is ultimately a weak point that over time wears down. an all metal grip, with no ability to rotate i think is the ultimate play
the alpha prime is probably nearly or just as good given it's at least all metal and metal on metal connection
i mostly just wish that virpil would sell twist as an additional feature in the alpha/prime
Totally agree with you, the twist has created some technical concerns for me 😅. Well in short, I think the temptation will be short-lived 😇😂😂😂.
the way i see it -- the alpha prime will only get a couple months of use, so i should be able to sell in good shape when the flnkr comes around
so the real question is -- when we get our flnkr grips, how quickly can walmis get it working with the rhino? he'll have to probably make a profile, but also with the ability to support swapping out some switches...
Yes, probably, but I wonder if in the meantime we couldn't use one of the other profiles (?).

it's their high end grip, to be expected
