As I'm entering the job search game again for a new J2, I realize the same thing again in that I realize I am secluded into a niche product and not a ton of other experience.
I'm looking to up skill. One track I've though about is going into cloud architect route.
Another route is going into swe with Python or learning Go. After hearing a bunch of people having talk about the pay gaps, it still seems that swe is the better direction. I have python coding experience, but definitely still consider myself a Jr level. And I'm still getting into basics of Go.
What recs would yall have to up skill within 6 months and be trying to get some new J's outside of my existing niche withing 6-12 months?

i'd learn how to make flask/django service servers using python, and golang CLIs
probably gets "into the weeds" at both
while also learning the one thing the those languages are used the most in

C# / .NET have probably the highest volume of available jobs on the market for SWEs right now. You rarely seeing Js is more a reflection of the dire state of the job market right now.
When I do apply, it's the usual places. Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.
The last J I booked was due to a recruiter reaching out to me on LI, not me applying.

cloud, devops, infra, platform, etc
heck your main team could be using python but are transition to golang
