Yes... You buy a pikvm, connect it to your home network and connect it to the pc in question so that pc never leaves your network.
Then you VPN into the pikvm on your network when you're away. I'll leave you to do some research on hiding the pikvm as a device identifier on the client pc, and for how to setup a VPN at home or on the pikvm.
My work pcs never move... I VPN into home network, then connect to the pikvms I have connected to each J. One pikvm for each laptop.

Yep what mjolnir said that's been the usual route
There's also using a travel router if you want more flexibility and speed

Why do they have this rule in the first place? My first instinct would be to explicitly tell them that I often work on the road and need to be able to log in from other networks. If this is a security issue for them then there are much better ways to deal with it then to limit the networks you can use.

i found some resources online about using a 2 router solution. hadnt thought about pikvm at all. thank you
they will also send a cellphone, is there a workaround for this?

a workaround for the cell phone? ... You would have to ask the larger group. I recently saw, but don't remember who posted it, that they were able to remotely control their cell phone from like a web service or something.
My only thought.... call forward all calls from that cell phone to a google voice phone number, you can answer your google voice phone number anywhere in the world even if you don't have a phone attached to it.

you are right. call forwarding would work for this. however, since i cannot really spoof location on cellphone due to gps, it must remain at home at all times. right? There is not workaround for this without messing with the phone itself. my current issue is that they want to be on home wifi all the times, but i in another state atm
since i am going with 2 routers and vpn method, it should be alright with a macbook right?

Do they need GPS turned on, on the phone?
Wifi for travel router same as home?
Your VPN travel router to home should effectively put your IP and geoip location as your home...
However, tracking location via IP is for people who don't know what they're doing unless they're just using it for country tracking.
