If the galvanometer measures the current, and most of the current goes through the shunt resistance branch, how dpes the galvanometer show all the current in the wire?

Naah mate.. Actually A small resistance, about 1/9th of the resistance of Galvanometer(commonly known as shunt)is connected in parallel to it to make a Ammeter.. Hence the parallel connection lowers overall resistance, and hence, nearly all of the current flows through the shunt resistance and can provide accurate measurements
