Advice for a new server

Hello I come seeking advice for a new server me and a few of my friends are making. I was hoping I could be pointed in the general direction of what hardware I would need to accomplish this. - Concurrent Player size would be <50 before initial release, then would need to be expanded to min 250+ - US based, would like good speeds - Skyblock 'esque' type server(it would be already genned in land which would be permed with 1 section reg) - 15-20 plugins(some of which we have already made and use on our own server) - A datapack which holds all our models If you need to see a pretty bare bones GDD we have one which I can invite to(if it helps with your analysis) and this is not time sensitive either as this project would start in the next month. I am also only asking this because I see a lot of information even within this own discord with varying amounts of ram needed to pull off certain things, and I know trial and error might be my best friend with this sort of thing, but it seems like it would be a hassle to constantly upgrade services etc.

#marketplace would be more ideal for seeking hosting services. Also many hosts have made it really easy to upgrade your plan's resources. If you had 10 GB of ram, then it's 1 more click to switch it to 12 GB or more. Also datapacks can get really intensive on your resources if not done properly so you are better off with converting that to a plugin (Oraxen and Itemsadder are the recommended standard plugins right now to add custom models). !pleb

You can answer these and make a post on the marketplace with the info, though most of it has been answered here. I just re-read your post and I think you are asking for hardware recommendations for self-hosting? If yes, and you don't have the hardware to self host as of yet then it's the perfect time to switch to hosting your server with a reputed host as that will make things a lot more easier on you.

Ok but do you think 10gb of ram could do this? And y would I use a Minecraft host specifically rather than just go more generic vps hosting route and do it myself and save a tiny bit of money Budget would be like 75$ though per month

mc host better generally and you dont really save money with vps higher overhead ram and cpu wise, usually costs more, has virtualization overhead, and usually uses oversold/old hardware
