Pc freezes when tabbing out forcing me to restart pc.
Hello, I have had this issue for a while were my pc has a chance of freezing whenever i tab out and it forces me to restart my pc. I have tried closing every app besides valorant, updating drivers, reinstalling drivers, but nothing seems to work. Would anyone know how to fix this?

Been an issue for me lately too, think it’s not fixable besides just not tabbing out, typical riot client.
My friend found a fix that I believe has worked for me so far. If you turn hardware-accelerated gpu scheduling in the windows settings that might fix the issue.

Not fixable, had talks with Riot support back and forth for a week now.
In the end they couldn't find anything wrong on my side.
It's on their side and I let them know to relay that to their QA team, however this issue has been around for years so probably not getting fixed any time soon, since it's kind of an anomaly issue.

Have you tried the hardware accelerated fix before? It seems to have worked for me so far
Nope, trying windowed full screen mode for now, someone suggested this
so far it's been looking good

still eventually ran into the issue sadly

if you do run into the issue again i would recommend turning off that setting as its seem to have worked for me for now

ive tried it for 2 days now

and its been good
I'm going to try it for a bit now and just keep tabbing out

I just spammed tabbing out and played for 2 hours while checking other apps non stop and couldn't get it to freeze
I'm like 90% sure it fixed my issue
Alright good to know, I’ll keep it in mind in case windowed full screen mode won’t fix it.
Yo what are the steps to do that hardware accelerated thing, it’s in settings>system and graphics?
Like remove them from there?
Cause I could only remove riot client and not valorant itself for some reason
The windowed full screen didn’t help the freeze issue, tho some of the stuff I tried i think helped, having it less often.
Let me know about the accelerated hardware fix.
Yeah you go to settings, display, graphics, change default graphic settings, and than turn it off.
