We may have bad news for you :C
Open your router's configuration interface. Somewhere you'll see something like 'external' or 'public' IP.
If your external IP is in one of the following ranges, you're basically screwed as long as portforwards go:
- 10.0.0.0/8
- 172.16.0.0/20
- 192.168.0.0/16
- 100.64.0.0/10
- any IPv6 address/range - This shouldn't be a problem, but Minecraft's IPv6 support is still rather quirky. You're at your own but we're happy if you share your experience.
You should ask your ISP for a public and IPv4 address (but this may cost you money).
NB: your internal IP should and most probably will be in one of the first three ranges, don't mix them up

check firewall and cgnat
Ok I will
I'm on none of those ips
where did you check?/how did you check
Canyouseeme.org for the public ip
thats not where youre meant to check
check your wan address on your router
Ok let me check
Nope still good I have 75.65.xxx.xx
actually can you join it?
using localhost ip
127.0.0.1
if its hosted on the same machine'
I can join it on localhost but no one (including me) can join it using my ip
you not being able to is normal
not many routers support hairpin nat
(which is what would be needed to join externally)
next up, can you try connecting to it from another machine on your network
Ok let me try that it may take a while though
nope didnt work same error
so it might be a firewall on your machine
I know as a fact it's not that bc I tried completely turning it off and nothing changed
theres not just 1 firewall
windows firewall, whatever antivirus program you use if you have one etc
I'll try and double check but I'm 90% sure I only have windows firewall
yup there all off and i still cant connect
