Can we use taylor series approximation to find continuity of a point of the given function? It's a thought that came to my mind, not taught anywhere...

probably not cuz taylor series tries to approximate an already continuous function into a polynomial function so if you were to apply it on a discontinuous then it will convert it into a continuous one and your answer will be wrong. im telling this from my limitied knowledge of the taylor approximation, btw

Taylor series can sometimes be used to infer continuity at a point ( a ), it's primarily a tool for examining the local behavior of a function rather than its global continuity properties.
